AUTOMATESPORT LTD is registered in England and Wales (company number 17254482). Our registered address is 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA. We operate AutomateSport, a software-as-a-service platform that helps football clubs manage their squads and collect match subscriptions ("subs").
Note: Individual clubs using AutomateSport are also data controllers for the player data they enter. We process that data as a data processor on their behalf. Where players are under 18, the club manager is responsible for ensuring that a parent or guardian has provided consent on the player's behalf before their data is entered into the platform.

Performance of a contract
We process account holder data to provide the AutomateSport service you have signed up for, including sending payment requests, managing your squad, and processing subscription payments.
Legitimate interests
We process player data entered by managers on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, enabling clubs to manage their members and collect agreed match subscriptions. We have assessed that players have a reasonable expectation of this within a club context.
Consent
Where a player signs up via an invite link, we rely on their explicit consent, which is recorded at the time of submission. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the opt-out link in any message we send you.
Legal obligation
We retain financial records for 7 years as required by UK law.
We use carefully selected third-party service providers to operate AutomateSport. Each provider is subject to a data processing agreement and is located in the UK, EU, or a country with adequate data protection standards recognised under UK GDPR.
Database & authentication
Storing and securing your account data and player records. Data is stored in the EU.
Payment processing
Processing subscription payments and player subs collection. Card data is handled entirely by our payment processor — we never store card details.
Messaging delivery
Sending SMS and WhatsApp messages to players on behalf of clubs. Phone numbers are shared solely to deliver messages you have requested.
Application hosting
Hosting and delivering the AutomateSport platform globally.
Error monitoring
Capturing technical errors to help us diagnose and fix issues quickly. We configure this service to minimise personal data in error reports.
Product analytics
Understanding how the platform is used so we can improve it. Analytics are cookieless and sensitive data such as phone numbers is masked from recordings.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@automatesport.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you no longer wish to receive payment requests or reminders from a club, you can opt out at any time using the opt-out link included in every message. Opting out stops all automated messages from that club. Your payment record within the club remains unchanged.
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email and update the effective date at the top of this page.
